ENGLISH
Lefatshe ke la Badimo is a historical novel inspired by the 1913 Natives Land Act in South Africa, which dispossessed Black people of their ancestral lands. The story follows Rramothibi Kgobadi and his family as they are forcibly removed from their birthplace farm.

During their journey to Dikhudung village, tragedy strikes when their two-year-old daughter passes away. Without a place to bury her, they wait for nightfall to secretly lay her to rest on another farm.

Along the way, they encounter Solomon Plaatje, who is documenting the hardships faced by Black South Africans under the oppressive land laws. This novel reflects on land dispossession, suffering, and racial injustice during segregation.
