African Archaeology

African prehistory. Origins of humanity. Phillipson gives an illustration of the development of African archaeology and its connection to European colonisation. This book is a reviewed and detailed expansion of his original work. Egypt and North Africa are considered within the African context along with the archaeology of the East, West and Southern Africa. A demonstration, through this work of literature, is provided to understand contemporary Africa along with its contribution to cultural heritage of humankind.
