Muzi Sikhakhane SC is a practicing advocate and Senior Counsel. He periodically serves as an Acting Judge. His passion for justice has seen him representing an assortment of litigants from all walks of life. His focus on justice can be traced back to his childhood years. A lifetime of activism has seen him play leadership roles in student politics and anti-apartheid organisations.

He has been involved in high-profile cases that have made a huge impact on South Africa’s jurisprudential trajectory. He was the inaugural chairperson of the Pan African Bar Association of South Africa (PABASA) from 2018 to 2020. PABASA, an association of advocates, is the first Bar whose mission is to advance radical transformation in the legal fraternity. He was recently, once more, elected to the chairpersonship of PABASA. His strong views on the urgent need for transformation across all sectors of democratic South Africa have inspired a new discourse on the intersection of law, politics, and constitutionalism.
